Balfour Hats

The company was founded in 1907 by Nathan Balfour who was later joined by his two sons. Originally based in the East End of London the factory moved to the West End in 1940 and to Luton in 1952.
Today the company is managed by a grandson and great grandson of the founder. In 2002 they moved from the town centre to a modern and spacious 20,000 square foot factory near to Junction 11 of the M1. Luton is situated 35 miles north of London and takes just 30 minutes by train.It has been the centre of the UK ladies hat manufacturing industry for more than 200 years.
After many years of manufacturing in England, as well as buying from many factories in the Far East, almost everything they now supply is produced in our own factory Unique located a short distance from Hong Kong.
In England they have a design studio with three talented designers who are continually creating new styles which can be ordered as seen or amended according to your requirements.
