Facts About Raffia
Raffia comes from the Raffia Palm Tree, native to the island of Madagascar.  After careful cultivation of the fronds, they are exported to Cathay to be handwoven into narrow ribbon braids.  Skilled hatmakers create great sun shielding hats from these braids.  The hat is naturally pliable.
